Don't fight the market!
When I look at the unique medal of Suite Królewska with the performance of Zygmunt Stary from our upcoming auction XI, I fully understand the success of the contemporary series of treasures by Stanisław August.
Whoever came up with the idea to "copy" it and give it in an affordable issue, which is a modern product, bearing a denomination, deserves a solid bonus.
I do not accept price relationships between these series completely privately. Until recently, there were few in the amounts of just over PLN 10,000 thousand, there were few for the original Suita in silver, today the market corrected its underestimation, which shows a record -breaking record for a suita from our x auction of the medal with the presentation of Stanisław Leszczyński with the final price of PLN 38080.
Nevertheless, especially the last copies can be purchased for just over PLN 20,000.
If the mentioned quotations were compared to the most wanted, because it is not rare, a copy of the Stanisław August treasures series, i.e. Wacław Czech, prices in the range of 20-30 thousand do not seem excessive when the modern market is valued (until recently) at PLN 7,000-8,000.
Do not fight the market, one of the most volatile advice among the players of the financial market says. This does not mean, however, that you cannot try to understand the processes that affect the prices of both emissions.
In the case of treasures, this is undoubtedly demand, the demand of people whose internship in numismatics is usually short, who most often in unknown circumstances fell into the trap of NBP emissions, and our daily practice confirms that such people rarely become long -term players for several decades. The success of the treasures is not only their beauty based on the royal noise, but above all its availability and an easy -to -predict range for collecting.
What today is the advantage of a series of treasures of Stanisław August will become its disadvantage at the end of the issue. The collection must have a goal when it runs out, often within a few years, and even stops enjoying faster. When he stops enjoying, he returns to the secondary market in a short time. I will not be surprised if a series of treasures of Stanisław August divides the fate of 2 zlotys Nordic Gold, which at the time of the issue was rapidly flooded, reducing the entire series.
It is quite the opposite in the case of Królewska Suite, where the price is determined by supply, extremely low, based on incidental ratings over many years. Although there are many times less willing to buy many times than in the case of Stanisław August's treasures, but they are more persistent in their actions, aware, hence the chance that their collections will die due to lack of goal is negligible. It will not sound elegant, but sooner the owners of the collection will pass than their collections. The royal suite is so rare and demanding for collecting.
The Medals of Suite Królewska are a lot of rarity, raisins at our Auction XI is all the more unique because it presents Zygmunt I Stary, the first by JJ Reichel, signed with the initials of IIR on the obverse.
Medals by JJ Reichel can be safely considered less frequent than the previous authorship of Holzhaeussera IP, but a small group of people who undertook a breakneck task to complete the entire series already knows this.
On March 4, 2023, at the Premium session, we will see if more daredevils will appear to fight for the first, one of the most difficult to get copies of Suite Królewska.
I have vain hopes that a handful of passengers will change from a pleasant, comfortable train, which are the treasures of Stanisław August to a tight, uncomfortable and long -distance, like a Trans -Siberian train called Królewska Suite.
